Astro Overview for February

The second month of the new year and the last of this winter seems to be extremely potent energy-wise, especially because many planets find themselves in essential dignities and perfect conjunctions that challenge us to manage our energies as best as we can. It will not be easy, but we will certainly be able to cope with this. Let’s take a look the energies we will be dealing with:

Mars (Aries) square Pluto (Capricorn) and Venus (Sagittarius) trine Uranus (Aries): necessary changes

On or around February 2, Mars in Aries sends a tense square to Pluto in Capricorn, which is why there may be some tensions around that may turn out to be quite aggressive. On or around the same date, Venus in Sagittarius forms a harmonious trine with Uranus in Aries, which is why we may be more creative, spontaneous and more adventurous than usual. It is important to know our limits and not to exaggerate, especially if our loved ones tend to get the wrong idea when we are like that.

Venus in Capricorn: different, higher standards

From February 4 onwards, we are a little less eager to explore new things because Venus goes into Capricorn, where it makes us look for associating with people having a specific social and professional status, crave to join these hierarchies and gain a good reputation. Mercury’s conjunction with Neptune in Pisces makes us, on or around February 19, be more active creative-wise, more romantically inclined in the romance department and much more empathic than usual. Mercury (Pisces) square Jupiter (Sagittarius): ill-chosen beliefs

During or around February 22, we are likely to experience the force of the tense square aspect between Mercury in the sign of Pisces and Jupiter in Sagittarius. Given the essential dignities of the two planets and the major aspect they form, it is expected not to be easy to wisely manage their energies, but we must strive no to leave ourselves blurred by prejudices and beliefs that do not work to our advantage. During or around February 23, we might have to see how we respond to the conjunction between Venus and Pluto in the sign of Capricorn.
